Mill Pond Preserve

This is a relatively young Nature Conservancy preserve in Arrowsic, and it’s very special. The loop trail brings visitors to a point on a peninsula with views of the Back River, and through an old homestead site. No dogs allowed here. It is 0.5 miles to the 1-mile loop. Directions: From Bath, take Route 127

Bald Head Preserve and Squirrel Point Light

This walk is lovely and fairly popular, and if you do it all, both spurs, it is roughly 4.4 miles there and back again. The longer walk takes you to the open ledges of Bald Head, with views of Back River. But you can make a shorter walk — about 0.6 miles one way —
