• Vaughan Woods — About three or so miles of walking on wide, easy carriage roads with historic stone bridges and a beautiful brook. Leashed dogs allowed. There are rougher side trails, as well.
• Hallowell Reservoir — This is a very pretty 1.5-mile walk around the reservoir. In addition, there are intersecting snowmobile paths. 
• Kennebec River Rail Trail — A lovely paved trail along the river. Great for joggers, strollers, and wheelchairs. Easy, pretty, and surprisingly quiet in sections. 6.2 miles in total.
