• Frye Mountain — A 10-mile hike through forest, with some open ledges on top of the summit. 
  • Hogback Mountain — On the other side of Route 220 from Frye Mountain you can hike a fairly easy 2.5 miles to an open ledge and view.
  • Whitten Hill, Bog Brook, and Northern Headwaters Preserves — This 1,250-acre area offers miles of trails, and links to Hogback Mountain and Frye Mountain, as well as the 47-mile Hills-to-Sea Trail.
  • Haystack Mountain Preserve — A 1.1 mile easy loop that brings you to a stunning view from exposed bedroom atop an adjacent blueberry field.
