Lincoln Cove

The day we visited this Maine Coast Heritage Trust preserve, we parked on Birch Point Road and walked the 0.2-mile track to the pretty cove. But another visitor drove and parked at a small clearing closer to shore. From this point, there is a very short, pretty path and stairway down to the water. Directions:

Sipp Bay Preserve

This is an interesting Maine Coast Heritage Trust property with a 1-mile loop trail on very soft, pine-covered ground that brings you to views of Cobscook Bay, and a shorter 0.4-mile path to a rocky beach and mud flats popular with clammers.  The bay is named for Scipio Dalton, an African American who lived with his wife
