From the parking area, a variety of mowed trails criss-cross the field. From the field, trails head into the woods in multiple directions. The trails through the woods are wide with mix of gravel, stone dust, and natural surfaces. Although the trail system is unmarked, the trails are well-maintained, easy to follow, and all eventually loop back to the field. They’re well suited for walking, cycling, and also seem good for cross country skiing in winter, although I don’t believe they are groomed.

By Sam Shirley

Directions: These trails are best accessed from a unsigned grassy parking area on the east side of Seamon Road, 0.8 mile north of its intersection with Knowlton Corner Road, and 0.2 mile south of its intersection with Whittier Road. Alternatively, parking is available at the high school across the street.

This small network of easy trails across from Mount Blue High School seems to be mostly used by the cross country teams at the high school, but it is also great for anyone who wants to enjoy quiet wooded trails not far from town.
