(Check out the beaver lodge!) Then the path heads fairly steeply uphill to a clearing with an elevated view, at about 260 feet, of the marsh and Frye Mountain. It&#8217;s a great little outing! <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In the winter, x-c skiers can follow a loop trail that crosses the wetland.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>From the parking area, you&#8217;ll follow a private driveway for a short distance before heading straight down an old woods road. The route follows this track for about 0.3 miles before turning left onto a footpath. The trail throughout is well marked and blazed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Directions: <\/strong>From Belfast, take Main Street west and turn right onto Route 137 for 10.4 miles. The trailhead is the right and is easy to spot since it has a visible land trust sign by the road. Park only in the designated lot\u2014there is room for about three vehicles\u2014and not along the driveway.
