It&#8217;s about 700 acres, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.maine.gov\/dacf\/mnap\/focusarea\/rockland_bog_focus_area.pdf\">the largest peatland in the midcoast region<\/a>. Continue along the forested loop for another quarter mile.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>While the going is easy, the path can be wet and muddy. The parking lot is quite spacious, big enough for about six cars. Eventually, the town plans to build a connecting trail all the way to the harbor.
