This heath is a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.fws.gov\/refuge\/maine_coastal_islands\/\">National Wildlife Refuge<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It might be advisable to wear rubber boots if you&#8217;re going to hike the loop at the  northern preserve, which is protected by <a href=\"http:\/\/frenchmanbay.org\/preserves-trails\/corea-heath\/\">Frenchman Bay Conservancy<\/a>. It can be wet, even in autumn. The trail also is quite rooty and uneven, and the bog bridges over the wettest patches can be narrow. They&#8217;re a good test of your yoga-cultivated balance! Though the walk can be a bit of an adventure, it is worth it.
