Views over the tidal river.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/mainebyfoot.com\/crooked-farm-nature-preserve-bristol\/\"><strong>Crooked Farm and Sproul Preserves<\/strong><\/a> \u2014 Almost four miles of walking, through meadows, forest, along the Pemaquid River and quiet ponds.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/mainebyfoot.com\/la-verna-preserve-bristol\/\"><strong>La Verna Nature Preserve<\/strong><\/a> \u2014 Amazing, dramatic, thrilling! A forested trail takes you to a dramatic section of the Atlantic coastline. Popular. About three miles of walking here.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/mainebyfoot.com\/rachel-carson-salt-pond-preserve-bristol\/\"><strong>Rachel Carson Salt Pond Preserve<\/strong> <\/a>\u2014 A historical preserve, a favorite spot of Rachel Carson&#8217;s. Across the street from the rocky shore is a short looped trail through the forest. No dogs allowed.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/mainebyfoot.com\/hatchtown-preserve-bristol\/\"><strong>Hatchtown Preserve<\/strong><\/a> \u2014 Two shortish loops on 35 acres.
