You can also get to the pond from&nbsp;Gross Neck Road.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/wp.me\/p75OtA-1I9\"><strong>Clarry Hill<\/strong><\/a> \u2014 1.25 miles, one way, through blueberry fields, woods and to an undeveloped pond. A treat.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/mainebyfoot.com\/?p=5358\">Geele Farm Trail<\/a>&nbsp;<\/strong>\u2014 A pretty and varied 2.5-mile (or shorter) walk, with places to swim in Medomak River.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/mainebyfoot.com\/osborn-finch-wildlife-sanctuary-waldoboro\/\"><strong>Osborn Finch Sanctuary<\/strong><\/a><strong> \u2014<\/strong> This is a short walk, 0.7 miles or so, but the views of the quiet Medomak River are gorgeous.\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/mainebyfoot.com\/goose-river-peace-corps-and-mill-pond-preserves-waldoboro\/\"><strong>Goose River Peace Corps and Mill Pond preserves<\/strong><\/a> \u2014 About 2 miles of trails (which intersect with snowmobile trails) on a roughly 100-acre parcel, with some pretty spots along the river and pond.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/mainebyfoot.com\/burkett-mill-preserve-waldoboro\/\"><strong>Burkett Mill Preserve <\/strong><\/a>\u2014 This is a large preserve (with good blueberries!).&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/mainebyfoot.com\/quarry-hill-preserve-waldoboro\/\"><strong>Quarry Hill and MVLT Founders Preserves<\/strong><\/a> \u2014 This preserve has been updated with two largish blazed loops taking you through meadows and woods. There is also a little trail around the quarry pond, and a snowmobile trail through the beautiful blueberry barrens.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/mainebyfoot.com\/town-forest-waldoboro\/\">Waldoboro Town Forest<\/a> <\/strong>\u2014 There is a 1.5-mile blazed loop in this 65-acre woods. The walk takes you through a maturing hemlock tree stand.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/mainebyfoot.com\/marine-park-waldoboro\/\"><strong>Dutch Neck Marine Park<\/strong><\/a> \u2014 A half-mile of easy, beautiful&nbsp;trails through woods and to rocky points along the Medomak River, in a small town park that is also a boat launch.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/mainebyfoot.com\/riverbrook-preserve-waldoboro\/\"><strong>Riverbrook Preserve<\/strong><\/a> \u2014 A lovely 1.5-mile trail along the Medomak River and through fields has been extended to include another loop by Meadow Brook.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/mainebyfoot.com\/guy-vanduyn-refuge-waldoboro\/\"><strong>Guy Van Duyn Refuge<\/strong><\/a> \u2014 A .4-mile trail leads down to a tidal marsh.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/mainebyfoot.com\/george-gould-nature-trail-waldoboro\/\">George Gould Nature Preserve<\/a> <\/strong>\u2014 At the former AD Gray School, you can do a .9-mile marked loop through the woods and to a meadow. The trail might not be recently maintained.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/mainebyfoot.com\/waldoboro-village-river-park-waldoboro\/\"><strong>Waldoboro Village River Park<\/strong><\/a> \u2014 A small but enchanting park, with easy, mown trails through a field bordering the Medomak River.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"","protected":false},"author":1,"featured_media":0,"parent":0,"menu_order":0,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"open","template":"","meta":{"_acf_changed":false,"footnotes":""},"class_list":["post-5046","page","type-page","status-publish","hentry"],"acf":[],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v26.6 -
