The forest is popular with mountain bikers.\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/mainebyfoot.com\/weskeag-preserve-south-thomaston\/\"><strong>Weskeag Preserve <\/strong><\/a><strong>(South Thomaston)<\/strong> \u2014 Beautiful meadows above a marsh. There&#8217;s a 1-mile mown loop trail through the fields, with more trails planned for the future.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/ecosystem made up of the\">Weskeag Headlands Preserve<\/a> (South Thomaston)<\/strong> \u2014 Across the river from the Weskeag Preserve is the 37-acre Weskeag Headlands Preserve, which offers a 1-mile trail and 2,000 feet of shoreline.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/mainebyfoot.com\/riverview-hayfields-preserve-south-thomaston\/\">Riverview Hayfields Preserve <\/a>(South Thomaston)<\/strong> \u2014 A beauiful place, made even more beautiful if you can visit when the bobolinks are singing.
