From here you can cross the bridge to Riverton Trolley Park.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/mainebyfoot.com\/mill-brook-preserve-westbrook\/\">Mill Brook Preserve<\/a><\/strong> \u2014 This trail follows a beautiful brook\u2014an important migratory route for alewife fish\u2014with some deep-looking pools. The trail has a few steep ups and downs.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/mainebyfoot.com\/mill-brook-south-preserve-westbrook\/\"><strong>Mill Brook South Preserve<\/strong> <\/a>\u2014 Just a bit south of Mill Brook Preserve is this 32-acre parcel that protects land along the brook. You can go for a 1.5-mile loop through old forest here.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/mainebyfoot.com\/conant-property-westbrook\/\">Conant trails<\/a><\/strong> \u2014 This is a small preserve with a granite memorial in a clearing and swings under an oak tree. The mown paths bring you along the Presumpscot River.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/mainebyfoot.com\/westbrook-river-walk-westbrook\/\">Westbrook Rive Walk <\/a><\/strong>\u2014 A mostly paved and very pleasant trail brings you along the river in downtown Westbrook.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/mainebyfoot.com\/pride-preserve-westbrook\/\"><strong>Pride Preserve<\/strong><\/a> \u2014 188 acres of forest (some relatively recently harvested) and streams, with many trails following wide, old, flat woods roads.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/mainebyfoot.com\/westbrook-schools-animal-league-trails-westbrook\/\">Westbrook Schools\/Animal League trails<\/a><\/strong> \u2014 You can walk about 2 miles from the dog park to Spring Road along mostly footpaths. Be careful around the animal league, though, as volunteers may be taking some of the dogs out for walks.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/mainebyfoot.com\/rivermeadow-nature-preserve-westbrook\/\">Rivermeadow Nature Preserve<\/a><\/strong> \u2014 Explore 44 acres of riparian habitat and shady forest along boardwalks and narrow paths, with nice views of the river.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"","protected":false},"author":1,"featured_media":0,"parent":0,"menu_order":0,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"closed","template":"","meta":{"footnotes":""},"class_list":["post-4635","page","type-page","status-publish","hentry"],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v26.6 -
