Eaton Ridge is forested, Eaton Kennebec River Preserve has a half-mile easy trail to a view of the river.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/mainebyfoot.com\/coburn-woods-skowhegan\/\"><strong>Coburn Woods<\/strong><\/a> \u2014 Miles of trails through quiet forest, or walk through sun-drenched trails across Taylor Field at the southern end of the preserve.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/mainebyfoot.com\/coburn-park-skowhegan\/\"><strong>Coburn Park<\/strong><\/a> \u2014 You have to share the pretty, paved lanes in this small park close to downtown with cars, but there is a magnificent view of the river, and a lily pad pond.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/mainebyfoot.com\/skowhegan-bog-trail-skowhegan\/\"><strong>Skowhegan Bog<\/strong><\/a> \u2014 Walk on mowed trails near Skowhegan schools or check out a little trail to a bog.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/mainebyfoot.com\/marti-stevens-trail-skowhegan\/\"><strong>Marti Stevens<\/strong><\/a> \u2014 A short trail by the river.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/mainebyfoot.com\/yankee-woodlot-demonstration-forest-skowhegan\/\">Yankee Woodlot Demonstration Forest<\/a> <\/strong>\u2014 You can do two loops through woods and fields at this large preserve. The lower loop includes a &#8220;Trail of Thoughts,&#8221; a series of nature-themed quotes, which is delightful.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/mainebyfoot.com\/debe-park-river-trail-skowhegan\/\">Debe Park River Trail<\/a> <\/strong>\u2014\u00a0The half-mile trail along a dramatic stretch of river is paved and wheelchair accessible.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/mainebyfoot.com\/philbrick-trails-skowhegan\/\">Philbrick Trails<\/a> <\/strong>\u2014 Wooded trails, with river access, including a sandy beach area and lofty views down to the river.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/mainebyfoot.com\/canaan-bog-preserve-skowhegan\/\">Canaan Bog Preserve<\/a> <\/strong>\u2014 This preserve is only open in the winter, when the ~0.9-mile trail to a forest encircled by a bo, is passable.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"","protected":false},"author":1,"featured_media":0,"parent":0,"menu_order":0,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"closed","template":"","meta":{"_acf_changed":false,"footnotes":""},"class_list":["post-45882","page","type-page","status-publish","hentry"],"acf":[],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v26.6 -
