Dogs aren&#8217;t allowed. The trail brings you to a beautiful spot on the Kennebec River.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/mainebyfoot.com\/josephine-newman-audubon-sanctuary-georgetown\/\">Josephine Newman Audubon Sanctuary&nbsp;<\/a>\u2014<\/strong>&nbsp;This 119-acre preserve offers several&nbsp;miles of trails, a cattail marsh, meadows, water views, forest, and a long walk over to Berry Woods. No dogs allowed.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/mainebyfoot.com\/weber-kelly-preserve-georgetown\/\">Weber Kelly Preserve&nbsp;<\/a>\u2014<\/strong> Dogs are allowed on this 105-acre preserve.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong><a style=\"line-height: 1.5em;\" href=\"http:\/\/mainebyfoot.com\/reid-state-park-georgetown\/\">Reid State Park<\/a>&nbsp;\u2014<\/strong> Gorgeous state park, with long sandy beaches and miles of winding trails. Pets allowed but not on the beach.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/mainebyfoot.com\/higgins-mountain-georgetown\/\">Higgins Mountain&nbsp;<\/a>\u2014<\/strong> This 40-acre preserve offers a short jaunt, about 1\/2 mile, up a teeny mountain! No dogs.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/mainebyfoot.com\/?p=1583\">Flying Point<\/a>&nbsp;\u2014<\/strong> A 3-mile walk across a marsh and around an island. Be careful about noting the tides as the access path will be underwater during high tide. Dogs are not allowed.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/mainebyfoot.com\/?p=1585\">Ledgewood Preserve and Ipcar Natural Preserve<\/a>&nbsp;\u2014<\/strong> Two small walks, plus a sandy beach, near Five Islands lobster pound. Ledgewood Preserve offers a 0.4-mile path along dramatic cliffs.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/mainebyfoot.com\/schoener-robinhood-cove-preserve-georgetown\/\"><strong>Schoener Robinhood Cove Preserve&nbsp;\u2014<\/strong><\/a> Dogs are allowed on this 154-acre lot owned by the University of Maine and used for science and educational purposes. Evidently, you can sled on the field to the right. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/mainebyfoot.com\/morse-pond-preserve-georgetown\/\">Morse Pond Preserve \u2014<\/a><\/strong> This 280-acre peserve offers a lovely ~3.5-mile walk through woods, over a stream strewn with moss-covered stones, and to a quiet, undeveloped pond. No dogs allowed.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/mainebyfoot.com\/loring-conant-preserve-georgetown-need-pics\/\"><strong>Loring Conant Preserve <\/strong>\u2014<\/a>&nbsp;1.3 miles of walking&nbsp;that includes views over Robinhood Cove, the Sasanoa River and the Sheepscot River.
