The trail connects Pierce Pond with the Kennebec River.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/mainebyfoot.com\/austin-gorge-bingham\/\"><strong>Austin Gorge<\/strong><\/a> (in Moscow) \u2014 A .25-mile jeep track off a dirt road takes you to a dramatic little gorge. But the banks to the water are steep!<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/mainebyfoot.com\/moxie-mountain-caratunk\/\"><strong>Moxie Mountain<\/strong><\/a> (in Caratunk) \u2014 A gorgeous mountain, just shy of 3,000 feet, with two trails up. The south trail (from Heald Pond Road) is 1.6 miles and parts are fairly steep.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/mainebyfoot.com\/kelly-mountain-near-bingham\/\"><strong>Kelly Mountain<\/strong><\/a> (in Brighton) \u2014 Down the back roads of loggers, you can find a 0.6-mile unmarked jeep path to a tall tower with, I hear, fantastic views.
