It connects to the school trails.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/mainebyfoot.com\/rosmarin-and-saunders-family-forest-readfield\/\">Rosmarin and Saunders Family Forest<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>\u2014 This 1.1-mile trail takes you by a huge beaver pond and along a stream.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/mainebyfoot.com\/macdonald-woods-conservation-area-and-readfield-town-forest-readfield\/\">Macdonald Conservation Area\/Readfield Town Forest<\/a> <\/strong>\u2014 The 4-mile trail system in these woods was well maintained when I visited, and the walking very enjoyable through varying woods.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/mainebyfoot.com\/maranacook-community-school-trails-readfield\/\">Maranacook Community School trails<\/a> <\/strong>\u2014 The 3 miles or so of trails here connect to the wonderful trail around the Readfield Fairgrounds and a snowmobile trail that brings you to a pond.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/mainebyfoot.com\/esker-trail-readfield\/\">Esker Trail<\/a> <\/strong>\u2014 An easy 1.1 there-and-back trail that circles around the transfer station before taking you to an esker extending into a wetland.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/mainebyfoot.com\/kents-hill-school-trails-readfield\/\">Kents Hill School trails<\/a> <\/strong>\u2014 The public is allowed to walk the sprawling trail system on the school&#8217;s 400-acre campus, which is groomed for the school&#8217;s ski team.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/mainebyfoot.com\/carlton-pond-readfield\/\">Carlton Pond Trails<\/a> <\/strong>\u2014 Walk for more than a mile along the quiet shores of Carlton Pond.
