(It&#8217;s across the street from the preserve.)&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/mainebyfoot.com\/long-point-machiasport\/\">Long Point, Machiasport<\/a> <\/strong>\u2014 This is a glorious place to walk, with a secluded beach and views from two sea bluffs.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/mainebyfoot.com\/meserve-head-machias\/\">Meserve Head, Machias<\/a> <\/strong>\u2014 A short walk brings you to an overlook of the town of Machias and Machias River. Visit an old homestead and cemetery along the way.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/mainebyfoot.com\/umm-outback-trail-machias\/\"><strong>Deshon Outback Trail<\/strong> <\/a>\u2014 An easy, well-maintained 1.4-mile trail in beautiful spruce and cedar forest behind the campus of University of Maine&#8217;s Machias campus, with an open ledge (that has a small view of Route 1 and downtown).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"","protected":false},"author":1,"featured_media":0,"parent":0,"menu_order":0,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"closed","template":"","meta":{"_acf_changed":false,"footnotes":""},"class_list":["post-13902","page","type-page","status-publish","hentry"],"acf":[],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v26.6 -
