Some of the trails are designed for mountain bikes (thus, are very squiggly!). Dogs allowed.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/mainebyfoot.com\/recreational-fields-trail\/\">Recreational Fields Trail<\/a>&nbsp;\u2014&nbsp;<\/strong>The trails at Topsham Recreation Fields run for a couple of miles. Dogs permitted.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/mainebyfoot.com\/?p=2107\">Cathance River Preserve and River Corridor Trails<\/a>&nbsp;<\/strong>\u2014 Lovely and long, this a great walk. No dogs allowed.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/mainebyfoot.com\/bradley-pond-farm-topsham\/\">Bradley Pond Farm Preserve<\/a>&nbsp;\u2014&nbsp;<\/strong>Here you can walk the perimeter of a field, as well as look out over Bradley Pond and surrounding wetlands. Dogs not allowed.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/mainebyfoot.com\/ravine-trails-topsham\/\">Ravine Trails<\/a>&nbsp;<\/strong>\u2014 It kind of feels like you&#8217;ve stepped into an enchanted place when you leave the curb behind for the Ravine Trails. You&#8217;re close to commerce and development yet enveloped in quiet, lovely nature here. Dogs allowed. The nearby retirement community takes good care of these well-maintained trails.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/mainebyfoot.com\/town-landing-trail-topsham\/\">Town Landing Trail<\/a><\/strong> \u2014 A .3-mile trail along the Androscoggin River. Dogs allowed. Be sure to park at 29 Elm Street or by the old fire station on Green Street.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/mainebyfoot.com\/topsham-bike-path-topsham\/\"><strong>Topsham Bike Path<\/strong><\/a> \u2014 This paved trail will one day connect Main Street to the Androscoggin River Path, via the Highlands community.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/mainebyfoot.com\/bridge-to-bridge-trail-topsham\/\">Androscoggin Brunswick-Topsham Riverwalk<\/a><\/strong> \u2014 A 0.6-mile paved path runs along the Androscoggin River in Topsham. Cross the long pedestrian swinging bridge and do a loop, all on paved sidewalks, including across the vehicle bridge, for a 1.25-mile in-town walk. The whole way is wheelchair accessible.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/mainebyfoot.com\/mt-ararat-school-trails-topsham\/\">Mt. Ararat School Trails<\/a> <\/strong>\u2014 There are more than three miles of wide, hilly trails behind the high school. There&#8217;s an old fire tower and a modern radio tower on this land, and, unfortunately, quite a bit of litter.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/mainebyfoot.com\/tarbox-preserve-topsham\/\"><strong>Tarbox Preserve<\/strong><\/a> \u2014 Off Route 24, this one-mile loop includes views of the curvy Cathance River.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/mainebyfoot.com\/town-forest-trails-topsham\/\"><strong>Topsham Town Forest Trail<\/strong><\/a> \u2014 Unmarked, probably not-often-visited trail near the Lisbon border and powerlines. The highlights: two large fields and Little River.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/mainebyfoot.com\/androscoggin-woods-topsham\/\"><strong>Androscoggin Woods<\/strong><\/a> \u2014 A 53-acre preserve, with frontage on the Androscoggin River. The walking is easy, the parking area is large.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/mainebyfoot.com\/hideaway-farm\/\">Hideaway Farm<\/a><\/strong> \u2014 A beautiful 33-acre property, on an old farm with a field and orchard, that should be visited in all seasons for its changing views up and down a quiet stretch of the Cathance River.
